Did you know that cancer is the leading cause of pet dog death in Australia?*
Skin cancers are the most common tumour in dogs and account for around a third of all tumours.#
20 to 40% of skin cancers in dogs are malignant.~
Light coloured dogs with thin coats that spend time in the sun have a higher risk of developing skin cancer as do some breeds of dogs such as boxers, basset hounds, weimaraners, bull terriers and mastiffs.
Skin cancers are more common in dogs that are middle aged to older (6 to 14 years of age) although there are skin cancers that occur in young dogs.
In recent years we humans have become very conscious of the risk of skin cancer through exposure to the sun.
You protect your human family from skin cancer. Isn't it time to reduce the risks for your dog?
